12-18-2010

In case you haven't read enough about the wedding by now, here's the "official" post. Dec 18th I woke up at the crack of dawn (5 am to be exact) showered and then had my hair and makeup done by the lovely and talented Joelle Wood while my dearest Kayleigh Beth ran down stairs and brought us breakfast :) . Once I was ready Kara came to the hotel to help me get my dress and what not, and we headed to the temple. There in that holy place I had the amazing opportunity to kneel across the alter from Christian, surrounded by our friends and family, and to be sealed to him for time and all eternity. Our sealer was sweet and gave us some counsel and words of widsom, and when we were done I couldn't believe it was real, I couldn't believe that I truly get to be the woman by Christian's side for the rest of eternity, I was overwhelmed with gratitude, hope for the future, and pure love. Much of that love came from the incredible spirits of those who greeted us at the door on thier way out of the sealing room. Having my new family, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles,my older brothers, and friends that hold a place in my heart just as close as family present in that room, and to hear them express how proud they are, and see the happiness in their faces, just served to further my knowledge that I was with the right man, and that we had been married by the right authority, and at the right moment in our lives. My joy was indeed overwhelming.

After the sealing My sweet cousin Kara (who has done more for me than I could ever begin to thank her for) took me back to the bride's room, and we changed me into my wedding dress. I felt like a princess, like the most beautiful girl in the world, you know, the way every girl deserves to feel on her wedding day, THAT'S HOW I FELT. And then my escort for the day took me to meet my groom. He looked so handsome, and once again I couldn't believe that I was the luckiest girl in the world. That somehow, this man had picked me!!
